Benefactors’ Trip to Vietnam

Benefactors’ trip to Vietnam

12 November until 23 November 2017

Over the course of 12 days, we’ll show you the highlights of Vietnam from North to South, accompanied by Maria Vitagliano, director of Green Cross Switzerland’s programme Social Medicine.

Vietnam is one of the most fascinating countries in Asia. On this trip, planned by Green Cross with benefactors and enthusiasts in mind, we are particularly looking for the contrast between impressions made by landscape and culture and the long-term effect of the Vietnam War, still visible today. In particular, the Americans’ use of the toxic defoliant “Agent Orange,” an herbicide containing dioxin, had a massive impact. Children in the affected regions are still being born with deformations today. After emotionally moving contacts with victims, we shall dedicate ourselves to the country’s culture and nature during the second half of the trip, setting out on fantastic boat excursions and discovering fascinating cities.
